MARK NEWNHAM as John Lennon is an actor/musician who trained at Rose Bruford College. Most recently Mark was seen performing in the Royal Court production of Girls Don’t Play Guitar; but also as Dave Davies in Sunny Afternoon (UK tour) Steve Marriott in All or Nothing (The Vaults and West End), and John Lennon in Lennon (Royal Court Liverpool), where he met Tom who played Paul McCartney. Other credits include: BBC 60’s voiceover (Radio 6 Music) Mariachi musician (Eastenders); Ensemble Performer (Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway); Cookie in Return to the Forbidden Planet (UK Tour); Eric Wimp in Bananaman (Southwark Playhouse); Oxy in Oxy and the Morons (New Wolsey, Theatre Ipswich); Mark is also a singer & songwriter who has composed the music to many theatre productions, working alongside The Sleeping Tree’s comedy trio, and the Half Moon Theatre for Young Audiences; In Come Together: The Lennon & McCartney Songbook Mark plays an acoustic guitar, electric Guitar, piano and harmonica as well as singing the John Lennon vocal lines.
